29 Apr 2008 - Room for Design Leeds By Example

We are delighted to have been selected to continue our graphic design and brand awareness work with the University of Leeds.

We have worked with the university for the last three and a half years, through an important period of transitional change in terms of brand and communications. Everyone here is looking forward to continuing our association with the university and further enhancing its brand and visual communications.

1 Nov 2007 - Happy Birthday Sweet Fifteen!

On this day:
– 1966; Viet Cong bombs Saigon.
– 1970; nightclub inferno kills 142 in France.
– 1984; violence follows Gandhi assassination.
– 1986; chemical spill turns Rhine red.
– 1992; design giant Room for Design commences commercial operations in the bedroom of a house in Great Ayton.

There you have it, the 1st of November isn't all bad; Room for Design is fifteen today – whoop, diddly whoop!

Please send all presents to the head office address. Remember, crystal is the traditional gift associated with 15 years. We dislike crystal, it's dull; please send nice stuff – light ale, cash, toys, food and wine for example (no cigarettes or condoms though, that's next year).

3 Jul 2007 - Trees are our Friends!

Room for Design have recently commenced discussions with several print partners with regards to additional environmentally friendly processes to enhance their commitment to environmental issues. As standard, Room for Design use environmentally friendly papers obtained from a managed, sustainable source; advising on recycled stocks, if clients so wish. These new processes being considered include the use of vegetable based inks and paper stocks with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) seal of approval. Using FSC approved stocks can provide the opportunity to access a tracking system to see which forest your printed product has come from and what measures are in place to ensure sustainability.
